I am a fanatical Athenian, born and raised in this ancient and stunning city in 1977. Living in a country with such a great cultural heritage, I have always been attracted to history and the arts, thus I earned a B.A. in History and Archaeology, followed by a M.A. in History of Art from the National University of Athens.
My professional experience begun with scientific and teaching positions; I have worked as an art historian (for the Greek Ministry of Culture, as well as for private art collections and exhibitions), as a leader of educational programs for children at museums and archaeological sites, a translator and an adjunct professor of Spanish Language and Civilization, as well as of Greek Civilization, at the Hellenic-American University of Athens, under the auspices of the Hellenic-American Union. I am in the Tourism Industry since 2007, working first as a tour leader of cultural trips in Greece and abroad; that led me to realize my calling as a tourist guide, confirmed by my Official Training for Tourist Guides at the Aristotle University of Thessalonica, northern Greece, and by the greek Ministry of Tourism, in 2013.
Since 2013, I have been working with some of the best travel agencies of Greece, US travel companies, Embassies, associations, schools, colleges etc; additionally, I enjoy working as a freelancer, providing guided tours to people from all over the world, of all ages and in three languages: greek, english, and spanish; as a tourist guide, I have the privilege of combining my interests and passion with meeting people from around the world and making the cultural heritage of my country known to them. Furthermore, I love designing new tours, new itineraries and being creative.
My tours are an enjoyable and educational experience for the visitors, who usually claim ‘it was the highlight of their trip’ and that they ‘had History come alive’!
I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm and knowledge with you!
